As per the statements released by his family members of David, he passed away on the 7th of September 2022 at the age of 54. The family members said in a statement that David was a father, a husband, a brother, and a great friend to his family members and they are at a great loss for the death of David. They also said that his death was all of a sudden. In the same statement, they revealed that David was checked upon by the doctors and it was revealed by the doctors that he passed away as a result of natural causes. They added that at the time they needed some privacy and will come up with an explanation after the completion of every ritual. Until now the natural cause has not been specified, as the family requested some private space, and there is no interruption to their matter until now.

Apart from being a comedian, David was an actor, writer, and veteran stand-up comedian as well. He released his second Netflix comedy special called It Ain’t for the weak, produced by Kevin Hart’s production company, Hartbeat. This was a July special release that was a field in Hanna Theatre in David’s hometown, Cleveland, Ohio. He was widely famous in LA and other American states as well and he used to do comedy standups on Comedy Central and BET. David was also the creator and showrunner of Nickelodeon’s show called That Girl Lay Lay Starring Alaya. This was a teen show that went hit on the channel’s hit list. He was one of the showrunners in Hollywood who wrote shows including Fuller House on Netflix and also Bigger on BET. Comedian Chris Spencer said in a statement that the comedy community is mourning the loss of one of the greatest comedians who was admired and respected by many people. Chris added that David will be missed deeply, especially in his comedy fraternity. Eric Schwartz another comedian said in a tweet that he just found out about the passing of David and said David was a teacher to him, and aspirations well to him to become a comedian.
