Melvin passed away this week and the whole of Prince County is mourning his demise. As per the reports and the news passed on by the officers, Melvin passed away this Thursday the 17th of November 2022. He was 78 years old at the time of his death. Melvin was a person who was in his third term as s selected or elected sheriff for Prince County. His colleagues passed on the demise news and also posted about it on their social media pages.
How Did Melvin High Die?
As per the reports, Melvin was not feeling well and at that time he was transported to the Washington Hospital centre and he passed away at the hospital. Until now there is no report of what actually happened and what the reason was behind the demise. Maybe the reports will be revealed later. Former Chie assistant sheriff and Current Prince George’s county sheriff Said that Melvin was someone who was loved dearly and was someone who was respected highly as well.

Melvin was someone who was on duty for over years and he has been providing his service at the county. Melvin served as the County Sherriff for over twelve years and he modernized several things at the office. Not only did he focus on modernizing but also on professional growth and also effective service delivering as well. Melvin was appointed to the office in 2010 and he was leading over 300 deputy officers under his safety and crime prevention as well. Angela Alsobrooks called upon Melvin and said that he was a dedicated public servant who will be remembered for his work, his service to the community and his commitment towards the work he did for the safety of people in Prince Georgian. She also added that they are saddened to hear about the demise and that Melvin’s dedication and the 20 years he had in service will never be forgotten. Angela posted pictures of her and also Melvin meeting each other on Twitter. Prince George County States Attorney’s office as well posted about Melvin online on their Twitter handle and said passed on their condolences. Melvin was a married man and he was married to Brenda. He was also survived by their daughter Tracy. Before getting appointed as the county Sheriff, Melvin was the Chief of police at Police George’s and he served there for five years from 2003 to 2008. Not only did he serve at the Prince Georgia police, Melvin served at different police departments including Norfolk, Virginia and he was also responsible for development at the Norfolk office as well. He was a member of the Metropolitan police department from 1969 to 1993. Melvin also received various awards and also many honours for his services in the police service.
