The woman who passed away in this incident was identified as Nicole Foltz who was 38 years old when she passed away. Jeff who is Nicole’s husband spoke to the media and said that Nicole was just lighting a fire in the garden when the gas lit and Nicole caught fire all over her body. This was a pit accident that led to the death of the mother and burned her child. Nicole suffered a 100% burn on her body. Jeff on the day of the incident lit a fire in the garden to keep the bugs out of the garden and he went inside the house to take something at the same time the fire was put off Nicole wanted to lit the fire again after which the fire caught her body.

In one of the interviews, Jeff added that his wife Nicole was about to put on another log and she saw that there was not enough gas in the fire. To light the gas she picked up the can and then ignited the logs. Jeff added that the fire was lit and it was burning as well suddenly the fire was caught in the gas can and the fire exploded. Nicole had fire all over her body. Jeff added that Nicole did all the things necessary even when she was on fire, she moved away from everyone, and then she rolled on the ground to put off the fire but nothing was of use as she got 100% burns and she fainted on the scene.
